North’s Group and Tully Heard engaged Mammoth Projects to refurbish the existing North Sydney Bowling Club facilities and create a new casual outdoor seating area within an 8-week programme.

Our client’s brief was for a venue with the functionality to meet high customer loads, and design aspects to accentuate the building’s heritage listing with a contemporary feel.

The works included an entire strip out of the existing venue and creating a new bar and commercial kitchen with a ducted exhaust system. A back of house area was added in, including a glass wash area and dish wash area. The customer-facing area refurbishment incorporated creating a poker machine area, an indoor seating area, a bistro/restaurant area, and creating two new casual outdoor paved seating areas converting the existing bowling green.

The final product is a series of practical yet relaxed, connected contemporary spaces with spectacular views over Sydney Harbour.
